CASE STUDY

A high net worth Individual wanted to ensure that his interest in his landed estate in the Thames Valley was passed across to a charity.

Charities Act regulations meant a number of things had to happen for this transfer to take place. Once the appropriate anti-money laundering checks had taken place, Iain inspected the properties to carry out a charity valuation. The sizeable estate included a Queen Anne country house, 400 acres of arable agricultural land, woodland, pasture paddocks, farm buildings (modern and traditional), commercial offices and light industrial buildings, estate cottages and stable yards

With the inspections complete, Iain then researched the properties online and analysed the appropriate comparable evidence before delivering a full RICS Red Book Valuation report.

Recent instructions have included the valuation of:

woodlands | houses | small-holdings | kennels | holiday cottages | Post Offices | rights of access | restrictive covenants | churches and a Manse

I had the pleasure of working with Iain on a complicated residential planning project in 2017. The way he went about his consultancy services was very professional and on point at all times. I would have no reticence of recomending Iain and look forward to working with him again very soon.
